The Composite AV Cable connects to your iPod, iPhone, or Universal Dock via the 30-pin dock connector and to your TV, home theater receiver, or stereo receiver via the composite video and red/white analog audio ports. The cable also features a USB connector that you can plug into a power source, such as a computer or the included USB Power Adapter
Compatible with all iPod devices: iPad, iPhone 4, 3GS, 3, 2G, Touch, Classic, Video, Nano
Works with all firmware including iPhone 3.1.3 firmware and iOS4 on iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G and iPad, iPad 3G
Instruction Tips:
1) Please make sure you select a video from the iPod app. If you intend to use the AV cable with a different app instead, please check with the app developer to see if video output is supported. The cable may not work if the app itself does not support video output natively
2) Make sure you have the following video output setup correctly: Setting --> iPod --> TV Out --> "NTSC"
3) Goto the iPod app, tap on the "Video" at the bottom and select a video for replay

-On your device's home screen, tap Settings
-Tap General
-Tap About
-Your device's exact software version is listed next to 'Version'
How to use this av cable?
-Connect the multi-function AV Cable to your iPod or iPhone.
-Plug the yellow (video output port), white and red connectors (audio output port) of AV cable into the video
-and audio input ports on your TV or receiver.
-Turn on your iPod or iPhone and your TV or receiver to start playing. Set your iPod or iPhone to send a video signal out to your TV or receiver.
-You can charge the iPod/ iPhone via the USB port (DC 5V) while using the AV Cable.
